bewildered- completely puzzled or confused; perplexed.

Bill and Lulu got into a huge fight, but Lulu didn't understand what Bill was trying to say, she was very bewildered.

Yes i think Dally's parents have influenced the way he is, because they were never there for him, so he had to pretty much raise himself, so that made him very tough and ruff, cause their was never really anything to get sensitive over. Also he got into a lot of trouble, because his parents didn't care and didn't discipline him so he never learned.

2. Why doesn't Dally want Johnny to turn himself in?

Dally doesn't want Johnny to turn himself in, because he thought since he was a greaser he would of gotten a much worse punishment. Also if he was going to turn himself in he should of done it the day after bill was killed.

3. What "other side" of Dallas is revealed in this chapter?

The "other side" of Dally that was revealed in this chapter, was a sensitive side that showed he did care about things.

4. What's your own definition of a hero? Do the three boys prove themselves to be heroes, according to your definition? Explain.

I think a hero is someone who is always there for people, not matter who they are. No, these boys don't fit my definition of a hero, because they jump people, and aren't always honest, and only stick up for each other, and don't really care about other people that much.

5. Why do you think Johnny wasn't scared, despite the obvious danger, on page 92?

I don't think johnny was scared , because he was just worry about saving the kids, and it was all happening to quickly that there wasn't really time to be scared.
