One day Lulu and Bill were walking down the street and say a very indignantly man, they asked the man what was wrong and he said he was thirsty and couldn't afford a drink.

1. How does Pony's dreaming, or lying to himself, finally work in this chapter?

Ponyboy dreams that Johnny isn't dead and keeps telling him self that. This works because it calms himself down, so he won't do something stupid.

2. Why was Johnny's dying so difficult for Dally to handle?

Johnny's dying was so difficult for dally to handle because, Johnny was the only one that he really liked, and now he has no one to live for and just wanted to die.

3. Why do you think Dally would have wanted to die?

I think Dally would have wanted to die because he was only staying alive for Johnny and now Johnny was dead so he thought their was no point to living.
